About/Contact Me

I am the mother of six amazing, loud, not always perfectly obedient, fantastically beautiful children.
I am no means an expert in parenting or anything for that matter.
I think
I read
I try
I beg
I plead
to raise amazing kids, have an amazing family and make a difference in this world.
I made this blog to help myself and share my ideas as well as others ideas
on families.

After all, raising a family is like planting a garden...
you plant
you nurture
you get frustrated
you nourish
you pick
and eventually,
hopefully,
you end up with an amazing reward in the end.
Good luck to us all raising amazing families!

  1. I love the music playing in the background on your blog! May I ask where it's from? Sarah

  2. Okay, so you're going to think I'm really weird, but apparently my child somehow opened up my itunes and started playing a c.d. that I had just downloaded but hadn't listened to yet, while I was looking at your blog. I can't believe I didn't figure that out. Sorry! Hope I didn't creep you out too much. :-)

  3. I just recently found your blog through pint-rest, and fell in love. I have 4 children of my own (ages 12- 5) and have been trying forever to come up with ways to reward them. I am all for the money system if they want extra chores to do, but I want a way to reward them for the everyday things as well. because after all don't we all like a little recognition for the things we do? So I am e-mailing to ask if it is at all possible to get a copy of your rewards I would greatly appreciate it. sarahpeterson2001@yahoo.com

  4. Hi Becki,

I am in the process of implementing your chore cards for my 11-year-old daughter, but I would really like the reward/points system as well. My email is keri_lynn_wright@yahoo.com

    Thank you!

  5. I would also like the reward/point system too. I have 4 kids and they are all 4 and under. Do you have any suggestions on how to get them to do their daily chores? I have been letting them mark off their chore cards daily and then we add up and put beans into a cup each night, then once a week I want them to be able to cash them in. Same ideas as your stickers, but I just use beans. Plus it helps my kids to count to high numbers too since they are all toddlers. My email is: dolphins2kul@gmail.com
